Yeditepe University UAV Team
Zafer UAV Team
Established in 2022, Zafer UAV Team engineers agile unmanned aerial platforms and competes every year in the TEKNOFEST Fighter UAV challenge with a fully student-built fleet.
Flight-ready engineering
Zafer UAV Team is an interdisciplinary community of volunteer students from our university's engineering faculties. We develop vehicle design, autonomous flight software, and competition strategies within the same team, constantly pushing our platform forward with data learned from every trial.
Our team designs systems and makes them operational in the field to compete in the TEKNOFEST Fighter UAV category. The Fighter UAV competition tests real-world competencies such as autonomous mission execution, target detection, and safe flight management.
Our team's competition approach is based on reliable telemetry, durable air-to-ground system integration, and test-oriented iterations. In 2025, our LTE-based telemetry integration helped us receive real-time data from the field and make quick decisions.
Our goal is to contribute to indigenous technologies, train student engineers with practical project responsibilities, and perform successful flights in the field.

High Performance & Autonomy
Our newest project, preparing to meet the skies with high maneuverability, optimized for 3D printing and a unique design. Details coming soon...
Titan Recon - Long-Range Flight Platform
The Titan Recon is a 3D-printed RC plane design from Titan Dynamics, optimized for long-range flight. With a 2-meter wingspan, it supports both twin-tractor and single-engine puller configurations for maximum flexibility. The design prioritizes drag reduction and includes a dedicated payload bay for cameras and accessories, with integrated wing bays for RF gear and FPV cameras.
Performance Records:
- 3D-printed aircraft flight time record: 5h 34 minutes
- Distance record: 228 km (twin configuration)
Technical Specifications:
- Maximum takeoff weight: 6 kg
- Efficiency: 1.75 Wh/km (at 3.5 kg AUW)
- Cruise speed: 50-70 kph (with 11-14 inch props)
- Root airfoil: NACA 4412
